Webcast : A Visual Model of Cloud Computing

Presenter: Henry Nirsberger

Whether you’re a veteran IT professional or new to database design, you have heard about “The Cloud” but perhaps have had little or no direct experience with it. Like many IT professionals worldwide, you are currently confronted with the challenge of quickly absorbing cloud computing concepts. Often, the best way to understand a new and complex subject area is to study its conceptual data model (CDM).

Join IDERA and Henry Nirsberger as he provides a rudimentary understanding of the Amazon Cloud using a conceptual model. Henry will include an understanding of basic data modeling concepts and notations. Joining this Geek Sync will help you to cultivate an appreciation that data modeling can be leveraged for much more than just database design.

Speakers: Henry Nirsberger (CDMP, CBIP) is the author of “A Conceptual Data Model for Amazon EC2” and CEO of HMN Consulting LLC, providing IT consulting services specializing in Data Management, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Facilitation, and IT Leadership. As a trained facilitator, he has facilitated over 600 IT design and planning sessions for data modeling, process modeling, database design, project planning, process improvement, requirements consensus, strategy planning, issues management, and team building.
