IDERA Presents New Product Updates, Educational Sessions at PASS Summit 2016
Company Adds to Growing Community of ACE Members Sharing SQL Server Expertise
HOUSTON, TX – October 25, 2016 – IDERA, a leading provider of database lifecycle management solutions (DLM), today announced new product updates, expert presentations and the 2017 members of its Advisors and Community Educators (ACE) program at the annual PASS Summit 2016, the world’s largest gathering of SQL Server professionals.
The latest release of IDERA’s SQL Diagnostic Manager enhances the existing integration with System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to help DBAs control which SQL database events and alerts are escalated. This added management capability helps organizations that are heavy Microsoft SQL Server users send the right alerts to the right people, focusing on events that are truly threats to system availability.
The IDERA Web Dashboard, which integrates with SQL Diagnostic Manager and other products, has also been upgraded with performance boosting improvements, more intuitive workflows and a streamlined installation process, delivering an integrated user experience.
As a PASS Summit Silver Sponsor, IDERA will present a full-day pre-conference education session on how to Boost SQL Server Performance to the Next Level with IDERA on Tuesday, Oct 25.
Speakers will include Randy Jacops, IDERA CEO, along with multiple members of the IDERA product team and IDERA ACEs. They will provide a comprehensive view of the IDERA product portfolio, dive into the IDERA DLM methodology, share a sneak peek into the future of IDERA and its products and discuss real-life customer applications and successes.
"SQL PASS is always a tremendous opportunity for us to showcase how IDERA’s DLM approach is coming together and benefiting our customers, linking the foundation from data modeling through the entire database lifecycle to prescriptive performance recommendations," says Heidi Farris, chief marketing officer at IDERA. "With the pre-conference addition this year, we’re allowing data professionals to really see our approach from the inside out by digging deep into our products, exploring IDERA’s future plans and sharing how our customers are enjoying their own successes by utilizing our DLM vision."
IDERA annually selects up-and-coming data professionals who wish to attain Microsoft MVP status and sponsors them by providing travel funds for speaking engagements, networking opportunities and premier Geek Sync presentation spots as the IDERA ACEs. IDERA is excited to announce the 2017 class of ACEs and welcomes the following data professionals to the extended IDERA team:
Finally, IDERA will present an in-booth Geek Sync with corporate strategist Vicky Harp on the Introduction to SQL 2016 Temporal Tables, Thursday, Oct. 27 at 2:00 pm CDT at booth #112. SQL Server 2016 introduces the concept of temporal tables, also called system-versioned tables. This new feature allows SQL Server to automatically keep track of the history of rows in any table for which it is enabled. Vicky’s session will cover the basics on how to create and work with temporal tables -- including the new FOR SYSTEM_TIME query clause -- and discuss some of the ways that they may or may not fill a need in your environment.
PASS Summit 2016 will be held Oct. 25-28 in Seattle, WA. For more information, visit: http://www.sqlpass.org/summit/2016/Home.aspx.
