Idera Announces Latest Version of Market Leading SQL Server Performance Monitoring Tool
Idera SQL diagnostic manager 6.1 Provides Enhanced Replication Monitoring, and New Cluster and Deadlock Monitoring Capabilities for Better Availability
HOUSTON – January 5, 2010 –
Idera, a leading provider of management and administration solutions for Microsoft SQL Server, today announced the latest version of SQL diagnostic manager™ 6.1. In order to provide better database and application availability, this new release features enhanced replication environment monitoring and new cluster and deadlock monitoring capabilities – all in one tool.
“SQL diagnostic manager 6.1 allows me to keep an eye on key metrics for my replication environment like throughput and latency, so that I know performance and availability are protected,” said a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) at a large financial services firm.
Idera’s SQL diagnostic manager, a market leading SQL Server performance monitoring and diagnostics solution with more than 100,000 servers monitored, minimizes costly server downtime by providing agent-less, real-time monitoring and customizable alerts for fast diagnosis and remediation of SQL Server performance and availability issues.
With the new release, DBAs are able to monitor availability of their SQL Server environment while reducing administrative overhead using the following new features:
- NEW Cluster Monitoring - Eliminates the need for an additional cluster monitoring solution for SQL Server by providing new cluster monitoring alerts so DBAs can respond quickly to changes to SQL Server node configurations.
- NEW Deadlock Monitoring – Immediately alerts and provides details to DBAs to enable speedy resolution when deadlocks occur in SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 environments.
- Enhanced Replication Monitoring – A single view providing all the replication performance metrics DBAs need. Provides an overall view of replication environment topology using an enhanced monitoring method.
“This release of SQL diagnostic manager takes the product to the next level,” said Rick Pleczko, President and CEO of Idera. “DBAs don’t want to check an endless number of monitoring tools to maximize performance and minimize downtime. They asked for one tool that monitors their SQL replication environments and ensures the performance and scalability of a clustered database architecture and that’s what SQL diagnostic manager 6.1 delivers.”
