SQL defrag manager allows you to define thresholds for 9 key system metrics prior to running a defrag job. This feature works as a proactive safety valve that makes sure it’s okay to run the defrag job. Any resource check threshold that is attained can trigger an alert to the database administrator so that some action can be taken to ensure that the defrag job runs as scheduled.
