Announcing new SQLschedule v2.0:
Enterprise-class job management and monitoring for SQL Server environments

Regardless of how large your SQL Server enterprise, or how complex your job schedules, Idera’s new SQLschedule v2.0 will simplify and streamline your SQL Server job scheduling and management. From a central, easy-to-use console, you’ll be able to view, schedule, and oversee all jobs across your entire SQL Server environment. SQLschedule will help you reduce job failure rates and improve performance while dramatically reducing administrative time and cost.

SQLschedule v 2.0 provides these key benefits:

  • Powerful, easy-to-use Microsoft Outlook-style Interface – Quickly analyze calendars and job schedules for multiple servers or databases. Get complete control of which servers, events or objects are displayed.
  • Customized Event Views – Analyze job schedules by time, user, resource, servers, job type, event type, and more. Quickly find inefficient job schedules, level job schedules across resources, and optimize job planning. For example, find all jobs that utilize a specific enterprise resource throughout the environment (SAN device, NAS device, network segment.)
  • Integration with Idera SQLsafe Backup and Recovery – Manage all SQLsafe backup jobs across the enterprise from a single view. Quickly identify conflicts, plan, schedule, and level all SQLsafe backup and recovery jobs across the enterprise.
  • External Scheduler Support – Connect to non-SQL Server systems which utilize scheduled tasks or generate events. View all jobs from a central point of control. This includes Windows Task Scheduler, Reporting Services, and DTS.
  • Advanced Task Chaining – Quickly and easily configure complex cross-server job chains and determine dependencies between events occurring on disparate systems. For example, run a SQL Server job whenever a Reporting Services event completes, and execute a Windows Task Scheduler task whenever the SQL Server job fails.

“SQLschedule is an essential tool for managing our job workload,” said Don McGee at Money Management International, a non-profit financial management firm based in Houston, Texas. “We use the product to coordinate, monitor, and manage all SQL Server jobs - it gives us the full historical view of actual run times, as well as a projected view of anticipated run times. Also, using automated task chaining, we’re able to solve our complex job dependency issues. Not only is SQLschedule saving us hours of time, it has increased the efficiency of our SQL Server infrastructure.”
