SharePoint Expert Sean McDonough Joins Idera Team
Leading SharePoint Architect and Author to Guide Strategic Direction of Idera SharePoint Product Portfolio

HOUSTON – April 26, 2010 – Idera, a leading provider of Microsoft SharePoint administration and management tools, today announced the addition of Sean McDonough to Idera’s SharePoint product team. Using his expertise in architecting, designing and deploying SharePoint infrastructures, McDonough will guide the strategy and direction of Idera’s SharePoint product portfolio including Idera's SharePoint backup™, SharePoint admin toolset™ and SharePoint performance manager™ products.

“Sean has been instrumental in building and implementing some of the largest SharePoint environments in the world,” said Rick Pleczko, President and CEO of Idera. “With his first-hand knowledge of what customers need when backing up their vital SharePoint data, Sean will be a valuable asset not only to Idera’s innovative SharePoint backup product, but to our entire SharePoint product portfolio.”

McDonough most recently served as a consultant and SharePoint team lead at Cardinal Solutions Group, an IT consulting and solution provider, where he not only directed internal growth of the SharePoint team, but also helped foster and grow Cardinal Group’s partnership with Microsoft. McDonough has also helped many clients, including Nationwide Insurance and Great American Insurance, with various Microsoft-centric implementations. He is also the co-author of the book  “SharePoint 2007 Disaster Recovery Guide,” a leading resource for SharePoint administrators, users and developers.

“I’m excited to utilize my practical experience with SharePoint implementations, and SharePoint backup and recovery in particular, to help Idera build on their established product offering,” said McDonough. “The ability to easily and effectively administer, safely manage, and backup and recover the increasing amount of important information housed in SharePoint is fundamental to a healthy SharePoint environment.”
